Palak Paratha

Palak Paratha is a very healthy, nutritious and easy to cook dish. It can be served with yogurt on side or with gravies for lunch or at breakfast. I usually make them for breakfast along with a cup of masala tea.
Palak Paratha


Ingredients:
  • 2 cups of Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 small bunch of Spinach, washed and chopped
  • 1 tbsp yogurt
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 4-5 green chillies
  • 1' ginger
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • pinch of Salt
  • Oil for Frying
Method:
  • Wash the spinach leaves and drain the water. Now finely chopped the spinach and keep on side.
  • In a bowl mix all the ingredients mentioned above except the oil.
  • Add water and knead into soft dough. Add one teaspoon of oil and knead the dough again.
  • Cover the dough and let it settle for 15-20 min.
  • Equally divide the dough into six balls.Take one ball and roll it into flat round paratha. Dust with flour while rolling wherever necessary.
  • Heat tawa. Place one paratha when the tawa gets hot.
  • Flip when one side is partly cooked. Apply some butter and flip again.
  • Apply butter to other side now and flip again. Make sure you cook the edges.
  • Palak paratha is ready to serve.
  • Serve the paratha with yogurt, chutney or any gravy.
