Kurkuri Bhindi / Crispy Okra
Kurkuri Bhindi or Crispy Okra is again a quick an easy to make. It can be served as an appetizer or a side dish with Dal Chawal.(Rice and Lentils cooked separately)

Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound Okra
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp carom seeds
- 2 tbsp chickpea flour
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- pinch of salt
- Oil for frying
Method:
- Wash and pat dry the okra. Cut them into thin vertical strips
- Take a bowl and add okra, carom seeds, salt, chickpea flour and all the powders mentioned above.
- Mix them gently until the okra gets coated with all the spices and chickpea flour.
- Let this mixture marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a pan for frying over medium flame. Fry the okra in batches till they are golden brown.
- Remove the fried okras and place them on paper towels to get rid of the excess oil.
- Kurkuri Bhindi is ready to serve. Squeeze lemon juice before serving.
