Bhajaniche Thalipeeth is a typical maharastrian recipe, very healthy and again very easy to make. Its loaded with proteins and more proteins. The Bhajani is made by roasting whole grains and then grinding them to a smooth flour.
Bhajaniche Thalipeeth |
- 2 cup Bhajani flour
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- pinch of Salt
- 1/4 cup coriander, finely chopped
- 2-3 tsp Oil
- Water for kneading
Method:
- Mix the bhajani flour, onion, red chilli powder, salt and coriander in a vessel.
Thalipeeth Dough - Add water to this mixture and knead a firm dough. The dough should neither be too firm nor too soft.
- Now make 3-4 equal size balls of the dough.
- Heat a non-stick tawa and grease it with little oil.
- Now place one ball of the dough on the tawa and press it gently to make it flat and round in shape.
- Make three holes which are equally space from each other.
- Drizzle some oil in this holes and around your thalipeeth.
Thalipeeth on Tawa - Cover the thalipeeth with a lid and cook for 2-3 minutes on a medium flame.
- Now flip and cook on the other side as well.
- You will know the thalipeeth is cooked when it turns brown and looks crispy.
- Serve the thalipeeth with yogurt, pickle or any chutney you like.
